Here are some information regarding the tiny house.

Phone and WIFI

Before you arrive, we recommend turning on the wifi calling setting in your phone. This must be done while you are in an area of cellular reception. We recommend doing that at home, before you leave.

You will only be able to receive phone call at the tiny home if your wifi calling is on and you have connected to the tiny home wifi network. That’s because there is no cell tower where we are.

We also recommend that you do not rely heavily on a strong wifi signal. Although, there is a wifi mesh system installed, it is not the most reliable and have a long range between the main house and the tiny house.

This is the perfect occasion for that phone and wifi detox you may have wanted to take. Take a break from social media, negative news outlets, bring books, your favorite board games and enjoy your vacation in nature.

You will find a few board games and books in the tiny house. There is also a little library by the mailbox at the entry of the neighbourhood for more selection.

Complimentary items

We offer complimentary tea, coffee (including sugar and powdered milk), and hot chocolate. There is also salt and pepper.

What we suggest you bring

1 – Although the kitchen is stock with everything you should need, we recommend bringing your favorite cooking herbs, oil, storage containers for your left overs, aluminum paper and/or plastic wrap if you tend to use those when you cook.

2 – Beach towels and floaties. Although the tiny house has bathroom towels for your showers, please do not bring them to the beach. Bring beach towels and whatever you will need to enjoy a day on the lake.

3 – Pepper spray. There is a lot of nice hiking in the area, including beautiful and easy trails right next to the tiny house. However, there is a lot of wildlife in the area, including bears, cougars and coyotes. It is always recommended to carry some protective gears such as bear spray when you walk in the forest. You may, or may not find pepper spray in town, so it’s best to buy that in a bigger city.
